Undergraduate Placement Programme 2024-2025

Please note that our Placement Programme is for university students currently studying towards an undergraduate degree, who are seeking a placement between their second and third years of study.

Your Placement Year

The Wavteq Undergraduate Placement Scheme has been designed to give second year business students invaluable work experience through a one-year placement at our industry leading company.

The Wavteq Placement Programme offers a unique opportunity for a fulfilling placement year experience. It serves as a launching pad to enrich your business knowledge, granting exposure to the global operations of an SME. Through this programme, you'll refine your skills and uncover the career path you aspire to pursue.

The placement student will take on an important role in activities that are vital to the success of projects undertaken.

Over the course of 48 weeks, you'll get to see all sides of our business, all while developing the skills you need to go far. You will navigate through different segments of our business, ultimately reaching our EMEA Lead Generation team. You’ll gain significant exposure in the following areas:

· Finance

· Human Resources

· Digital Marketing

· Operations

· Sales

· Global Lead Generation

What we are looking for

At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK (NB. we cannot offer Visa Sponsorship)
Be studying full-time at a UK-based university.
Already have some work, volunteering or extra-curricular experience (ideally)
Be geographically close to Belfast where you will be required to come into the office 1-2 times per week.
You will be working towards a 2:1 degree across any of the disciplines listed below
While bilingualism is not a mandatory requirement, candidates with proficiency in multiple languages would be highly beneficial
Be target-driven, resilient, ambitious and possess excellent communication skills
Be prepared to tackle any challenge, as we seek individuals who demonstrate initiative and consistently pursue smarter and simpler approaches to tasks!
