"We congratulate leaders within Gambia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone for recognizing the need to build a technology platform on encouraging foreign direct investment. Their foresight and initiative will ensure that they do not fall behind but can capture the investments best suited to their local economies. By partnering with Wavteq, a global FDI consulting firm, and Golden Shovel Agency, a U.S.-based economic development communications firm, they have created an online presence that sets them apart within the region."
Bethany Quinn
VP of Strategy for Golden Shovel Agency
"We are proud to partner with Wavteq and serve these countries with so much to offer investors. The new websites are the key to strong FDI promotion and will immensely improve the marketing efforts of the Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. While they might not have had a significant digital presence in the past, now they will make a strong first impression, appear to international audiences, and send a loud message of their seriousness about investment promotion efforts. The sites will genuinely be at the center of all digital marketing and become a stepping stone for future actions."

CEO of Golden Shovel Agency
"We are delighted to launch new websites for the national IPAs of The Gambia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. The website is the most essential tool IPAs have to promote their location. Through our partnership with Golden Shovel and the hard work of the IPAs and Wavteq consultants, the new websites adopt global best practices regarding technology and content. While most major companies are already aware of investment opportunities in the largest economies in Africa like Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa, smaller countries are often not on the investor’s map, and having a best practice website is absolutely critical to generating investor awareness. The new websites will play an important role in accelerating FDI into The Gambia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone."
Dr. Henry Loewendahl
CEO of Wavteq
Project Director for the AfDB Investment Promotion in Countries in Transition program being implemented by the company
The websites were built on Golden Shovel Agency’s Economic Gateway Platform and feature integration with Wavteq’s Amplify CRM, the unique CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solution built specifically for economic developers to help in daily investment operation processes.
